marriage of the black sheep
The long awaited CD ALTER is out, I myself will say its a breath of fresh air! very very tight!, several tracs stand out but my favorite one is sparrows in frost, I give this 5 scoots up out of a possible 5, it should be the cd everyone buys after they get a copy of "Glyph"

the opening band was BLISS
I got to say after having seen BLYSS many times I was not really all that excited about seeing them again. Although they have a stage persona that is very exciting I just couldn't get into the idea of them one more time, MAN WAS I EVER WRONG! they were great! and they sounded as tight as any band I have ever seen! Imagine if you crossed Rage Against the Machine, with Pink floyed with Parliament, I was a great show for them
Then the time it took floater to come on stage was endless!, the lights went down and the sound bites started, (if you have heard floater music before you know what I am talking about) FOR 33 MINS! just before the crowd rioted they came on stage, and opened with "marriage of the black sheep", then it started to get better, and better, and better,,,,,, This band is by no means rookies to the stage they are one of the best you will see, but! (always a down-side) the crystal ballroom is not known for its acoustics, my home sound is much more clean, They had some equipment issues that troubled me (blown fuses, , blown tweeters, and such) Floater closed with a rendition of "hey-Jude" in respect for George Harrison none-the-less it was a good show I am just Happy that BLYSS was great! I rate this show: 4 scooters out of five

concert review from FEB 16 at the OHM
The OHM is down-town Portland by the river, It was going to be a full bill, according to the ticket, Drumatica, FLOATER, DAHLIA, We got there in time for the opener, Drumatica! Kim and I had seen them at the new-years eave show once before, I dont know how to describe them other than "techno" but they are very tight to be sure!, as the OHM is a small venue and one could walk directly up to the stage if that's what you would want to do, very tight band, the Number that Rob, (of floater) sang with them was GREAT! rumor has it that it may be a bonus cut on the new CD due out this summer
then Floater!, what can I say? these guys are always amazing, but this show seemed to have an edge that I only saw the first time I have seen them, they played many new songs that I was not familiar with but one song seems to stick out in my mind and it was "sparrow in frost", will prove to be one of the more popular tunes on the next cd, as for the show itself, I have to give it 5 out of 5 scooters! TIGHT!, CLEAN
