Welcome to a page of what I hope will become a very popular place,
HOME-BUILT scooters!
" THUMPINSTIEN"
here is a pic of what should be a scooter as fast as mine is!
for the time I will call it thumpinstien
it comes from a guy named Jim who is on the east coast someplace........
it uses a 135cc single carb same engine I use on ROCKZILLA, the frame has been highly modified, stretched, widened, a larger rear tire is used and a rear disc will be added, I will keep everyone informed as how this big-boy® "THUMPINSTIEN" turns out
well THUMPINSTEIN is now ride able this machine has to be total madness to ride with that fat rear tire and the dirt tread pattern on the front. I gotta say I love the big-block engines for sure. notice the fact that this engine is mounted on the opposite side mine is, his engine turns clockwise mine turns anti-clockwise, Jim has told me that this thing will smoke the tire at will, I would think wheelies would be more to its liking. lets all give this guy a big hats off he deserves it
vintage Tecumseh Two stroke on a big-boy
Please take a moment to check-out this site, this guy is without a doubt a true leader and innovator in the world of stand-up scooters he has some of the best stuff and is able to help with most any scooter issue. An added bonus is that he makes custom tuned pipes!
Please let them know where you heard about his site from, after all this is a close nit sport and we always try to take care of each other as much as we can.
here is a Pic from Brian who is new (kinda) to the world of scooters, he is better know as "sherrif" or BMT on various places on the WWW. he is without a doubt one of the most passionate and kindest guys I have talked to, this is his first attempt at a deck and its very lovely to be sure a solid piece of mahogany was used take a look at the detail and effort he put into it:
here you will see pics of "Robs" first scooter I think it is a very smart design to be sure enjoy!
very good machine for a "kick and go"........
Bob sent these Pics of his homebuilt and I gotta say the work he did with the clutch is great! very nice Bob! he has stated it is average in speed around 30 or so mph
Chriss and Darcy sent me these pics of a couple very nice scooters, even though they are not home-built they are very cool I really love the flamed Viza I am told it belongs to Darcedee
here is a few Pics of an active in scotland
the happy owner of this beast is named Jason he had built a big-boy push scooter in a go-ped style!....
this is a great machine I will call it a homebuilt as Jason has the only one on the planet!
